Sacred Circle Retreat May 30-31, 2009

Thank you DoSomething Grant and PSA for supporting our Sacred Circle Retreat. We went to St. Criox, WI to hike, learn about potholes, swim, teambuild, and bonded over great conversations. We had to so much fun! The girls learned alot about patience, teamwork, cooperation and most importantly about each other. We ended the retreat off by having lunch at Macaroni Grill in Roseville (with the money fundraised from our Springroll sale) and reflections at PSA. Some highlights of our retreat:
  • Hiked the trails, climbed rocks, took numerous pictures and had lunch on at the park.
  • Spider Web Game: Everyone had to pass through a space created by tying yarn between two trees. One space can only be used once and body parts can not touch the yarn or else everyone will have to start over. We learned about listening to each other, leadership, teamwork, creativity and trust. Great Job Girls!
  • Playing Sequence: Team effort and strategies.
  • We went swimming, played volleyball in the pool, stayed in for dinner/movies.
  • We had small group discussion about dreams, friendships and our future.
  • We did a whole group reflection about self-esteem, identity and strengths.
  • We had lunch at Macaroni Grill, where the girls dressed up and dined in style.
